2014 Mystic Lubricants Terracross Championship Speed & Style September 7, 2014 North Branch, Minnesota

North Branch, MN (9/17/2014) – The top ATV freestyle riders from around the world came out to participate in the Mystic Lubricants Terracross Speed and Style Freestyle competition, including Colten Moore, Jon and Derek Guetter, Adam Thene, Marco Picado, JR Hinds and pro motocross racer, Thomas Brown who made his freestyle debut.

Some of the most talented ATV freestyle riders along with Pro ATV Motocross racer Thomas Brown came to Terracross at Hay Days to compete in the Speed and Style event

In the competition, the racers were paired up and they did two laps around a modified course with the ramps as part of the course, along with some tires, logs and dirt jumps.

It was an elimination type of competition and scoring was based not only how fast they could negotiate the course, but also on the tricks that they performed off the ramps. At the end of the two laps, whoever had the best score would advance to the next round.

At the end of an intense show, it was Derek Guetter, who edged out Thomas Brown for the win. Guetter pulled off several tricks including a nice superman seat grab and holy man to put him on top.

“It was a fun event. The conditions were a little tougher than usual, but we had a lot of our friends out here riding with us so it was a great time for us. I ended up going against Thomas Brown in the final, and I knew I had to step it up because he definitely has the speed advantage over me. I just did some solid tricks like the holyman seat grab and superman seat grab, and it worked out for me,” said Derek Guetter.
