Motoworks'
Jeremie Warnia was back in action at Round
5 after skipping Round 4 to race back east
in the AMA ATV MX Series, and he once again
scored a Podium finish for BRP Can-Am |
Can-Am Motowork’s Jeremie Warnia was looking
smooth and fast as well. Warnia was second off the
line behind Dustin Nelson, who had grabbed the ATVRiders.com
holeshot award. Warnia was holding a solid pace
with Baron behind him, but fell back to third. Warnia
kept a blistering pace and was able to regain second
place when Dustin Nelson suffered a nasty crash
with only two laps to go. Warnia’s blazing
speed and determination had him closing the gap
on Baron, but he was unable to reel him in enough
to make a pass before the two hour mark was reached,
leaving Warnia to settle for an impressive second
place. “I really had fun out there. My DS450
was working perfectly and the Motowork’s team
did an great job,” said Warnia enthusiastically.
GNCC Pro, Jarrod McClure made the trek out to
the west coast once again to do back to back races
after claiming ninth place at the GNCC’s
round eight the day before. Despite his grueling
schedule, McClure looked strong as he came off
the line in seventh. McClure began picking off
the competition one by one and soon found himself
in fourth place behind Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson.
McClure was pushing Nelson in the woods section,
waiting for an opportunity to pass, when Nelson
took a narrow line and slammed into a tree in
the next to last lap, which left him pinned between
the tree and his quad.

#110
Jarrod McClure made an impressive charge
from a mid-pack start to claim the final
spot on the Podium once again after racing
in Ohio on Saturday in the John Penton GNCC,
where he scored a 9th place finish. In the
final laps of the WORCS race, Jarrod McClure
was applying the pressure to Dustin Nelson
with Nelson nailing a tree, and McClure
stopped to help Nelson before returning
to the race, which showed true sportsmanship |
Instead of capitalizing on the situation, McClure
stopped to make sure Nelson was ok and pull his
quad off of him. Once he knew Nelson was not seriously
injured, McClure continued on in the number three
spot, crossing the finish line just three seconds
behind Warnia in second place. “I was pressuring
Dustin and then he took this really narrow line
through the trees and didn’t make it. He
hit really hard and I thought he was knocked out
at first, but he told me to get back out there
and get going,” said McClure, who was happy
to finish on the podium and pick up a few extra
points.
