Josh Frederick tracked down #62 Jeremie
Warnia, but after battling back and forth,
Frederick finished in 2nd |
Frederick soon caught the leader, Jeremie Warnia,
and took over the lead in lap eight, but Warnia
battled back and Frederick fell to second again.
Frederick stayed close and never backed down and
going into the final lap, the pair exchanged positions
a couple of times before the checkered flag, but
Frederick was not able to make a pass stick and
would settle for second spot on the podium after
an intense battle to finish.

Yamaha's
#94 Dustin Nelson charges to the final spot
on the Podium |
Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson was finally able to
shake his demons at the Crazy Horse GP with a Podium
finish because the last two years, Nelson has been
in the hunt for a podium finish before experiencing
mechanical issues, but this year, it all came together
for Nelson as he ran a near flawless race to claim
the third spot on the Podium with over a minute
lead on Beau Baron in the fourth spot.
“The track was really rough out there and
the loose sand really robs the power, so it was
a tough race, but I’m glad to finish on
the podium,” said Nelson.

Maxxis'
Beau Baron claims a 4th place finish at
the Crazy Horse GP |
MCR/Maxxis Tire’s Beau Baron surprised everyone
the day before the Pro Main when took the newly
released stock Polaris RZR XP 900 to a second overall
finish in the UTV race, but he paid a serious price
when a rock hit him in the face at the start, which
left a lump on his forehead before the start of
Sunday’s Pro Main, but it didn’t appear
to slow him down much.
Baron got off to a sixth place start, but he
had his hands full as he found himself battling
early on with DWT’s Dillon Zimmerman, and
later in the race, Yamaha’s Josh Row mounted
his charge on Baron as they battled for the fourth
spot. Row would briefly take over the position
before suffering a derailed chain, which allowed
Baron to retake the fourth spot, which Baron held
to the finish line.
