WORCS Racing - Round
3 - Crazy Horse GP - Pro ATV Race Report
::Continued::
Once out front, Frederick began to pull away
and took the win by over 44 seconds ahead of his
closest competitor. “It was a good race
for me. It was rough, but once I got in the lead,
I could just kind of cruise out there. It certainly
wasn’t easy, but I got to take another win,”
said Frederick, whose second win of the season
puts him in the points lead with 72 points.

Motoworks'
#2 Josh Frederick secured his 2nd straight
win, which moved him into sole control of
the Pro ATV points lead |

Spark Racing's #422 David Haagma charged
his way into the lead with #2 Josh Frederick
in chase for several laps |
Maxxis/H&M Motorsports’ David Haagsma
charged hard and was able to make his second podium
appearance of the season. Haagsma got off to a slow
start when his quad would not kick over. “It
took like three times before it kicked over so I
was one of the last ones off the start,” Haagsma
explained. Once he got going, however, Haagsma quickly
caught up and was holding down the number five spot
by the end of the first lap.
Haagsma kept the forward momentum going and by
lap six was chasing down the leader at the time,
Robbie Mitchell. Haagsma got by Mitchell in the
next lap and led for two laps before Josh Frederick
caught up. “Josh caught up to me and was
able to pass. I tried to get back the lead, but
he was really fast out there,” said Haagsma.

Maxxis'
#422 David Haagsma held on to claim his
second Podium finish of the year with a
career best 2nd place finish |
Haagsma was able to hold his own quite well in
the number two spot and took it all the way to
the checkered flag for his second podium of the
season. “It felt great to be on the podium
again. I had a good race and I led for a little
while. Havasu is always a tough race and I’m
just glad to be on the podium again,” said
Haagsma, who is currently third in class points
with 60 points.

Can-Am's #49 Dillon Zimmerman scored his
first WORCS Pro ATV Podium with a 3rd place
finish |
Can-Am/Motoworks’ Dillon Zimmerman took his
best finish of his WORCS pro career so far at Lake
Havasu. Zimmerman had a good start, but he got hung
up behind Dustin Nelson, who crashed in the third
turn, putting Zimmerman toward the back of the pack.
“Dustin Nelson and Mike Cafro were battling
it out and Nelson crashed. I got stuck behind him
and there wasn’t anything I could do, so it
put me way in the back of the pack,” said
Zimmerman.
Once he got clear of the carnage, Zimmerman charged
hard and worked his way up to sixth by the end
of the first lap. From there, Zimmerman continued
his charge and battled it out for the number three
spot at the midway point of the race with Josh
Row. Zimmerman came out ahead in that battle and
hung on to the number three spot all the way to
the checkered flag for his first ever WORCS Pro
podium finish.
“Besides getting caught behind Dustin,
everything went really well for me. It felt really
good to be on the podium. It’s been a while
since I’ve been up there, so I am kind of
speechless,” said Zimmerman, who is now
fourth in series points.
