Beau Baron Wins Buffalo Bill's WORCS SxS Pro Class
::Continued::
Rounding out the podium for the day in the UTV Pro Class was Cedar City, UT resident Jeff Obering. After kicking off the season at round one with a 6th place overall, Obering was ecstatic about his podium finish. With so many UTVs on the course at the same time, Obering's precision skills and line judgment allowed him to navigate his Polaris to the checkers, only thirty-four seconds behind second place.

Jeff Obering was consistant each lap running top three the entire five laps to cross the finish third in his Polaris RZR XP 1000 |
Crossing the finish line in fourth place was Dean Price aboard his #79 Polaris. With a time of 50:18, he finished less than one minute behind third place. Rounding out the top five was off road legend Doug Eichner with an impressive time of 51:35.

Another familiar face we saw in staging was WORCS ATV Pro Champion Josh Frederick. After a devastating injury in 2013 that left him with no feeling in his legs, Frederick is defying the odds by competitively racing in the UTV Pro Class in a Can-am Maverick. As his first race back, his machine is equipped with hand controls and a system to keep his legs strapped in. Off to a great start, Frederick was battling for position several laps in when he suffered a broken tie-rod bolt.

After overcoming a paralyzing injury last season, Josh Frederick made his WORCS Racing season debut in his Can-Am Maverick. Frederick moved from 30th to top twenty by lap three & was on the hunt towards the front of the pack, when he experienced a mechanical issue that would put an end to his hard charge |
Although the issue ultimately ended his race early and restricted him from fighting for a top position, Frederick was very positive and happy to be back at the race track. "I was having a lot of fun and I'm happy to be back out there and actually race again, that feels really good. We had a lot of fun and we learned a lot,” said Frederick.
In the SxS 1000 Class, David Haagsma raced his Maxxis backed Polaris RZR XP 1000 earned his second consecutive first place finish. After getting off to a great start and taking over the early lead in the class, Haagsma raced his own pace and settled in until the finish. Although he was in a tight battle for the first couple of laps, Haagsma never lost focus and continued to maintain his race-winning pace. As traffic seemed to get bundled up as he came up on lappers and other drivers, Haagsma strategically picked smart lines and was able to successfully traverse through the challenging terrain.

Even though the course had many challenging hurdles, Haagsma advised that his vehicle was well equipped to handle the rugged obstructions. "The whole course was great, it was smooth at first but then it got really rough and rutted. The car handled great through it with no problems and I had a lot of fun," said Haagsma.
Crossing the checkers just thirty-eight seconds behind the leader was the Pro Motorsports’ #93 of Matt Hancock.
