Beau Baron was able to take over the lead the last two laps of the race

“It was a big deal for me to win the season opener. You never know what’s going to happen and how hard everyone has been working. David obviously did his homework. He was flying today, but I managed to pull it off and that makes me happy,” said Baron.

Defending WORCS Racing Pro ATV Champion Beau Baron claimed the first win of the season at Honolulu Hills

David Haagsma was on a mission off the starting line and managed to hold off Beau Baron for half of the race. “I had a great start and edged Beau out. He was right behind me and then he got a better line and got around me. I tried to put some time on him when he pulled in the pits, but he got back around me,” said Haagsma.

#422 David Haagsma held the lead for half the race, however his teammate #1 Beau Baron was applying pressure the entire race

Haagsma tried to close the gap on Baron but ran out of time before he could get close enough to make a move.

“I am still happy with my finish; this is the best start to the season for me so far. I always want to win but I will take it for now and hopefully get the win in Primm,” said Haagsma.
