“I ended up fifth off the start,” continued Barron. “Dead engine starts get me sometimes. I battled with Collins for a while, then it was Sloan and Robbie. I wasn’t going to get near David, but sometimes things happen. This is what we work hard for and this is what we want.”

“I deserved third today, but racing is racing and I’ll take what I can get,” said Mitchell. “I tried a far outside start and I came out third. I ended up getting past Sloan with Haagsma. We pulled away and I started to relax. I just tried to settle down and ride my own pace. I was just stuck in third until David broke. Every season is tough, and just finishing is huge. So every time I finish, I’m happy.”

“From the first round, the work I’ve been putting in has paid off,” said Sloan. “We had a cooling issue at the first round, and we were glad to just get out of the round. Primm has always been good for me. I like the rougher track and it feels good to finish on the podium.”
