“It’s always a great day to just finish, but
get a number one spot is huge for us,” said Obering.
“I had been running a stock motor all season,
and we finally got all of the parts together and
it’s a big bore now. Dave from DW Performance
gave me the edge I needed.”

the weekend with a Win in the Sxs Pro Unlimited
Class |
Corbin Wells started running Pro Unlimited as
a way to get more experience for his Pro Stock
program. He finished second in his first visit
to Lake Havasu and celebrated his first podium
of the season.

Unlimited Podium |
“I started running Pro Unlimited to get some
more track time, but my points are better here,
so I tried to hold it together and get a podium,”
said Wells. “I played it safe and kept it running.
It was just getting through the lapped traffic.
This is my first time here. It was pretty rough,
but I liked it.”
With minimal preparation and driving a two-year-old
naturally aspirated RZR, Matt Hancock finished
third. He was as surprised as anyone else. “I
decided to race Pro Unlimited Friday afternoon,”
explained Hancock. “I brought my 2014 Polaris
RZR and I thought I’d go ahead and race it. We
sprayed it off, checked the air in the tires and
went racing; we didn’t prep it all. I was having
a blast out there. There was no pressure and I
was just having fun. There’s always so much pressure
out there, so it was nice to just have some fun.”

secured his first podium finish of the season |
“This is a non-turbo and I went out in a turbo
class and almost won it,” added Hancock. “We put
all of this time into this other car and that’s
the one that breaks. The one we did nothing with
never missed a beat.”
The WORCS Side by Side Pros will next head to
Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane, Utah on April
15-17.
