Rounds 1 & 2 World ATV MX Race Highlights

In the Pro-am class Keith Johnson went 1-2 to
take the points lead with 47 points, while St.
George, UT racer Jordan Hansen would go 4-1, giving
him 43 points, and Tyler Horisk’s solid
3-3 puts him in third with 40 points.

Jordan Hansen is also tied for the lead in the
Production A Class with Arizona’s Jeff Dyck
with 47 points each followed by Collins Webster
in third with 38 points.
Pennsylvania’s Kristy Laurine and Sam Campbell
both made the long trip out west worth while with
Kristy sweeping both rounds in the Women’s
Class and Sam is currently tied for the points
lead in the Production B Class with Utah’s
Agustus Maghee. Kristy plans to continue driving
back and forth from coast to coast for the entire
season as she chases after the Women’s class
championship with special thanks to Josh Frederick
and Marlin Kurtz for keeping her race trailer
between rounds.
In the youth classes Kyle Downes and Aidan Cash
are tied for the points lead with 47 points in the
50cc class. Ricky Easterwood, Jr. holds down a comfortable
points lead in the 70cc Production class after going
1-1 for rounds one and two and Buddy Williams leads
the 90cc Production class with 50 points after taking
the round one and two wins.
In one week, rounds three and four of the DWT
World ATV Motocross Championship Series will head
to Glen Helen on January 2-3, 2010 where attendance
is expected to pick up as well as the competition
as several national level pros are expected to
make an appearance for both rounds.
