WPSA Powersports ATV Tour

WPSA Powersport ATV Tour Cancellation & Ripple Effect
::Continued::

There is no doubt that the loss of the WPSA will have a big impact on the privateer and amateur levels, who were specifically holding out for the series or defending championships from last year. “Hopefully, people will not become too discouraged and decide to pick up a pair of golf clubs instead,” said Tim Cotter who is trying to keep a positive outlook on the future of ATV racing. “There are many local series that still offer plenty of opportunities for racers of all skill levels out there to participate in, plus Nationals,” Tim stated.

Even though the WPSA has called it quits, the positive impact that the series has had over the last couple of years has been enormous and has brought ATV racing to new levels. Interest in ATV racing has grown dramatically in the last two years and factories have stepped up efforts and become more involved in the support end of things than ever before. Those two positives far outweigh any negative impact that the cancellation of the series may have, and definitely shows that ATV racing still has a lot of potential to grow to new levels in the coming years.

There has been much speculation about what is to come of the WPSA and rumors have been flying since the series went under that the company will be bought out and restructured to form another series next year, but with that said; this is only a rumor at this point, so all we can do is wait and see what possibilities may spring forth from the downfall of the WPSA.
