Arctic Cat redesigned the engine in the
2013 Arctic Cat Wild Cat X 1000 SxS /
UTV including new high compression pistons,
cams, crank, & clutch system |
As we headed down the whooped out sandy trails, we immediately noticed there was now more power than ever before. Arctic Cat’s engineers designed the Wild Cat X with a brand new top end. The Wildcat X model comes with new higher compression pistons, cams, and other components that gives the 2013 Arctic Cat Wild Cat X 1000 SxS / UTV over 90 horsepower! Wildcat X 1000 SxS / UTV features a high performance 951cc V-Twin with Electronic Fuel Injection with high compression cylinders for improved torque throughout the power range.
In addition to the enhanced high performance engine, Arctic Cat also upgraded
the clutching system on the 2013 Wildcat 1000
SxS / UTV model lineup. Arctic Cat worked with
Team Industries to design a new clutch and drive
train system that eliminates the lag that was
felt in previous Arctic Wildcat 1000 SxS / UTV

The new Arctic Cat / Team Industries Rapid Response Clutch system delivers more immediate power throughout the power range in both low and high gear. In low gear the power is just a bit more immediate with a top speed of 40 mph, which is what some other SxS / UTVs top out at in high gear. In high gear we were able to reach 70 mph, but we feel it was well capable of higher speeds.

power response when you get on the gas.
