ATVriders.com and pro motocross racer, Keith Little had the opportunity to test the Can-Am DS450 X MX sport quad. The 2013 Can-Am DS450 lineup features three DS450 models with the standard model along with a cross country (xc) and motocross (mx) versions, and since we had multi-time AMA ATV champion, Keith Little, with us we chose to test out the updated Can-Am DS 450 X mx model.

Can Am initially introduced the Can-Am Maverick 1000 R SxS in late 2012 with the release of the 101 horsepower sport SxS / UTV. With its ever growing popularity, Can-Am has expanded its line of CanAm Maverick 1000 SxS / UTV models to include the Can-Am Maverick 1000R MAX four seater and Can-Am Maverick 1000R X xc DPS SxS / UTV for the woods. |

CanAm hasn’t left anything to the imagination with their 2013 line of Can-Am Outlander MAX two up utility ATV models, and for 2013, the Can-Am Outlander MAX comes in the DPS, XT, XT-P and Limited model. These ATV’s are arguably the best two up models produced and we had a chance to get up close and personal with the all-new 2013 Can-Am’s. |

Just over two years ago, Can-Am entered the SxS market with the Commander 800 and 1000 SxS / UTV, which is a great all-round SxS, but for 2013, Can-Am has raised the bar in performance with the release of the high performance Can-Am Maverick 1000R and X RS SxS / UTV models. |

ATVriders.com
was recently invited out to sunny North Carolina
were we would have a chance to check out the new
2012 Can-Am ATV models including the new Outlander
1000 and 800R. The test facility would consist
of rugged logging trails, tight woods, and open
sections at Brushy Mountain Motorsports Off-Road
Park. Can-Am set up stations in which we had around
an hour to spend with each model to test ride
and get to know each vehicle |

The
competitive world of the Side-by-Side market has
been increasingly growing and sending manufacturers
into a frenzy with upgrades and more power in
order to be top dog. While relatively new to the
UTV market, Can-Am has already raised the bar
and set a new standard with its release of the
2012 Can-Am Commander 1000 Limited |

Since
the release of the Can-Am Commander Side-by-Side
line in 2010, Can-Am has provided consumers with
several option packages that offer different engine
sizes, suspension packages and a variety of options.
The manufacturer has raised the bar in the UTV
market and we always enjoy being invited to press
events to test out the latest units, but occasionally,
we are given a Commander 1000 XT to test out for
an extended period of time and that’s when
the real fun starts for us |

Always
an innovator in the ATV industry, Can-Am/BRP has
once again stepped up and raised the bar by producing
a new Side-by-Side line that blows the competition
away. With more horsepower, incredible handling,
and surprising comfort, the Can-Am Commander line
is very impressive indeed |

We met up with former Pro GNCC ATV Racer, Brandon Sturdivant in the West Virginia Mountains to go black bear hunting. We brought along our Can-Am Commander 1000 XT to help in the hunt.

For 2010, Can Am
has again brought some interesting changes to
its model line up. Offerings still abound for
the MX and XC crowd whether your intended riding
consists of racing or trail riding and what better
place to host the press intro then Carolina Adventure
World located in South Carolina. With MX tracks
and miles of trails, we would get to check out
the updates and new additions to various models
that ranged from cosmetic to industry leading
advancements. |

For 2009 Can-Am
expanded its DS450 offering to include three models
with the base model DS450 along with the DS450X
XC and DS450X MX models. These two new racing specific
packages fine tune the machines to the particular
type of racing they will be used for, so we took
each of them for a test ride

In 2008, BRP Can-Am
released the all-new DS 450 Sport ATV, and the new
DS450 was unlike any other 450 sport ATV with many
brand new technologies introduced to the sport ATV
marker, so we put it to the test in a GNCC Series
race to see how well it would hold up to 2 hours
of racing

Former
Pro GNCC ATV racer, Jeff Stoess, race test the Can-Am
Outlander 500 Utility ATV, but with his over 20
years of ATV riding experience, it didn't take Jeff
more than the first turn to begin to open up the
throttle on the Can-Am and begin his charge on the
Outlander 500, and provide a full review on the
ATV |

CanAm intially announced
the DS450 & DS90 in June, but in August CanAm
revealed their all new X-Package models, which come
in a black and have many additional add-ons. These
ATVs are designed to be race ready off the showroom
floor, so here is the complete Review!

The CanAm DS450
Sport ATV is not a redesign of an existing machine.
The design of this quad was done from the ground
up by a group of engineers starting with a clean
slate. Each part was reevaluated, and if there was
a better way to do it, it was done. The result is
a machine that has more radical design changes than
any ATV since they decided to add another tire onto
the three wheelers. Check out the full Review!
