The Kawasaki Mule 610 XC can be most likely
summed up as a cross between a Kawasaki Teryx
and a Mule. If the Teryx was a horse and the
Mule well… was a Mule then the Mule 610
XC would be a donkey. I know what you’re
thinking, a donkey? Well the 610 XC is more
than that. It was bred for work yet it still
has the characteristics of a Kawasaki Teryx.
The XC has many additions that set it off from
just a normal Mule.

The
Mule 610XC also feautures panels on the
side & underneath to keep debris from
entering the vital areas of the UTV |
To
put the power to the ground, the Mule
has a R, N, H, L gear selector along with
a 4x4 & diff lock switch right on
the dash |
It features large 26-inch Maxxis Bighorn 2.0
radial tires for increased traction that provide
almost 2 more inches of ground clearance! With
the addition of the larger tires it also has
a wider stance, yet it will still fit in the
back of a full-size pickup truck. The XC also
comes standard with front differential, engine,
and rear differential side plates to reduce
getting hung up on obstacles along the trail.
The Teryx passed down its tailgate to the XC
that has a more simplified style release for
easy opening and closing. The 610 XC also has
a long-wearing ATV style double cog CVT belt
that reduces wear and requires less maintenance.

The
Mule 610XC was right at home on the steep
hills of Mine Made Paradise Park during
our test rides |
The Mine Made Trail system is much like the
Hatfield-McCoy trial system in West Virginia.
It features well-marked trails ranging from
beginner to novice, lots of elevation changes,
and most pf the trails are side-by-side friendly!
Although both the 4010 Trans 4x4 Diesel and
610 4x4 XC have a top speed of around 25 mph
we never had any problems climbing even the
steepest hills. Yes the pace was slow going
while climbing hills, but we were really impressed
how they both were consistent on power while
going vertical.
Our experience while driving the Kawasaki Mules
at the Mine Made Paradise Park will truly be
one to remember. We cannot wait to go ride the
complete trail system when the park is open
to the public this fall. It is said, that the
park will consume 60,000 acres and there will
be 200 miles of trails made specifically for
ATV’s and Side by Sides. What better way
to test out the Kawasaki Trans 4x4 Diesel and
610 4x4 XC than on virgin trails that have not
yet been ridden on.

The
Mule 4010 Diesel was great on the uphills
as well, with its massive amount of torque
it had no issues climbing the hils of
Mine Made |
I feel that the Trans 4x4 models and the 610 4x4
XC and even the whole Mule line up including the
Mule 4010 4x4, Mule 4000, Mule 610 4x4, and Mule
600 are best suitable for working and cruising
down trails or on the farm. Wither riding with
your work crew, your family or friends, or just
yourself, I think you will enjoy what the Kawasaki
Mule line-up has to offer.
The Mule line up is made for valued minded customers
that are looking to make their job easier and
to implement it in everyday use. Although the
Mule line up doesn’t have as many bells
and whistles as its beefed up sporty counter-part
the Kawasaki Teryx most likely there is a Mule
that can fit your needs and can still get the
job done – no pun intended.
