Caster-adjustable aluminum A-arms
The DS 450 X xc features a shim-style caster adjustment on its double aluminum A-arm front end, so racers can customize the machine’s handling to match their riding preference. Each shim represents one-degree of adjustment with 3 degrees to 10 degrees of caster adjustment.

46-inch width
Riders who enjoy charging through the trees at blistering speeds need an ATV that carries that same passion. Enter the Can-Am DS X xc, which offers the perfect 46-inch (1168 mm) width and components (forged aluminum upper and lower A-arms) to turn any wannabe into a woods-racing hero.

Adjustable-width axle
The race-proven chromoly 4140 hollow axle on the DS 450 X xc is adjustable for width. It lets riders customize their ride, offering varying widths from 46 inches (1168 mm) to 50 inches (1270 mm) with .5-inch (13 mm) spacers.

Cross-country-specific amenities
The X xc has a 7.5-inch (101 mm) ride height — assuming a 175-pound rider with gear — that reduces the center of gravity for improved cornering capabilities.

Race-bred suspension
Fully adjustable Kayaba HPG aluminum piggyback dual-speed compression adj. adorn the DS 450 X xc. All three shocks offer adjustments for preload (threaded), high- and low-speed rebound and compression damping. Offering 9.6 inches (244 mm) of travel, the front piggyback shocks feature two separate-rate springs with a crossover for further tuning and maximizing performance. On the rear, the remote reservoir-equipped KYB shock supplies an ample 10.5 inches (267 mm) of travel.

ITP Holeshot GNCC tires
Racing through the woods is far less predictable than riding a groomed motocross track. Racers require a tire-and-wheel combo that is ready for anything. And that’s why the DS 450 X xc is outfitted with ITP Holeshot GNCC tires that feature an aggressive, race-proven lug pattern for superb traction in a wide variety of terrain. Turning the dirt are 20-inch (508 mm) ITP Holeshot GNCC rear tires.

Front and rear beadlock ITP T-9 wheels
The ITP tires are mounted on 10-inch (254 mm) black, aluminum ITP T-9 beadlock wheels. A 21-inch (533 mm) ITP Holeshot GNCC tire and 9-inch (229 mm) black, aluminum ITP T-9 wheel with beadlock rings lead the way up front.

+1 Anti-vibe steering stem
Eliminating the need for an aftermarket steering stem, the 450 X xc comes from the factory with a rubber-mounted +1 (25mm) anti-vibe stem. This key component, along with the aluminum 6061-T6 taper-profile handlebars and race pad, boosts the Can- Am ATV’s racing ergonomics and better creates an “attack position” for riders.

Aluminum skid plate
For added protection, the Can-Am DS 450 X xc comes standard with aluminum skid plates for its frame and swing arm.

Aluminum nerf bars
Lightweight aluminum nerf bars with aluminum heel guards are add to the racing package on the Can-Am DS 450 X xc. Adjustable side extensions allow for customizable widths. And, if needed, nerf bars and heel guards easily remove.

Handlebar deflectors
The handlebars also have full-wrap wind deflectors with aluminum braces for peace of mind.

Graphics package
The 2015 DS 450 X xc, complete with its signature Can-Am black-and-yellow racing attire, is dressed for wood dominance.
