ATVriders.com: Chuckie, you amazed everyone this weekend. You came out and you were able to hold off Harold Goodman and claim your first career win as a pro racer, and more amazingly, you came back from a serious wreck in Tri-cities. Coming back this weekend and finishing on top must be pretty exciting for you.
I’m really glad it happened. I felt like I needed a win after that crash to help get my confidence and esteem back up.

You seemed to really have this track dialed in and held the lead from start to finish. Can you tell us a little bit about how it was out there with Harold pressuring you?
I came off the line and I tried to give it everything I had. I looked behind me a couple of times to see Harold behind me and a couple times I looked and didn’t see him. I was feeling pretty good but I knew he was right behind me. I was able to hold him off…It was a good clean ride.

Were you nervous at all since the championship was on the line between Harold and Shane Hitt?
Yeah, I thought that Shane was probably right behind Harold and pushing pretty hard and so Harold was going to try and push me pretty hard.

How important is it to you to have pulled off this win?
It’s one of my dreams that I have always wanted to do. Now my dream is to get a championship. I want to try and make it in the ATV industry!

Chuckie Creech was pressured by Harold Goodman the entire race, but Creech was able to keep his composure and hold-off the 2007 EDT Champion for his 1st Career Pro Win

How did this win effect your end-of-season points?
I had to race this last race to keep 5th place in front of Michael Colburn, but 1st place gave me 4th place in front of Mitch Reynolds.

Chuckie Creech went down hard during the 2nd Pro Heat at Round 7 (Tri City Raceway), which sent him to the hospital with 6 fractured ribs and a collapsed lung
That wreck you had at Tri City Raceway had a lot of people wondering if you would even be able to make it to this. Can you tell us a little bit about what happened at Tri-cities?
I had a front left tire go flat and I was kind of pushing it, just trying to get up front. I got passed the corner and I remember seeing a pile of dirt. I thought I would just be able to ride up over it and get back on the track and that’s all I remember. When I woke up, I was told that I had 6 fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.

It’s only a few weeks since that happened and you’re already back racing. Are you fully recovered already?
I’ve been taking a lot of vitamins and exercising, and I had a check-up right before I came to the races. They told me it looked like all my ribs have healed except for the second one and they said I still have a separated AC that I have to have checked out.
