ATVriders.com: As far as your race program for the year goes how is that going? Any big sponsor changes?
Cole Richardson: We pretty much stuck with many of the same sponsors, we did make a shock change and I’m running Motowoz ATV shocks and he came out to test with me and I’m really happy. I ran them my entire life except for my Pro-Am championship year, so now I feel kind of back at home. Also, we switched over to MSR racing gear as well, and they really stepped up, and are helping Walker (Fowler) and I out and getting us everything we need. Otherwise all of the sponsors stayed the same.

ATVriders.com: How’s it been training down here in Florida over the winter?
Cole Richardson: This is my first year doing it, last year I didn’t get a chance to because I was still in school, so I just came down whenever I could, so being able to stay down here for the full year and training, I’m really feeling a lot better and a lot further ahead of the game heading into the first round of GNCC racing.

ATVriders.com: How’s it actually training with Walker Fowler, who was able to get second in the GNCC Pro Championship last year and was right there at the end of every race?
Cole Richardson: It’s definitely a blast! Especially riding back home, we push each other and some sections he does better, and the next section I might be faster and we just capitalize on each other’s riding styles. For him to be able to ride with me and me to stay back in the Pro-Am class another year to keep watching how the Pros ride it means a lot for my speed and just to learn as I can from him.

ATVriders.com: And what’re your thoughts on 2015 GNCC Racing season kicking off in Florida next month?
Cole Richardson: It definitely came a lot quicker than what it did last year because I got to stay down here and ride every day and practice. I’m definitely ready for it, and I can’t wait for it to get started.

ATVriders.com: How about these FTR races, are you going to be doing a lot of them leading up to the GNCC?
Cole Richardson: Yeah we’ve hit every FTR since we’ve been down here and you can’t get any better practice than actually racing, so we’re going to continue that trend until the GNCC season starts.

ATVriders.com: How have you been making out at these so far?
Cole Richardson: I’ve gotten second every time to Walker (Fowler), he’s still got the edge on me every time and hopefully this weekend we can take it away from him (haha laughs).
