Megan Manshack: It was in 2001, so I think I turned 11 that year so this is about my thirteenth year racing.

ATVriders.com: You raced motocross locally in Texas to start out with right?
Megan Manshack: Yeah that’s right. I did a lot of locals and did a few nationals, and I did a full WPSA season, but never could get a full national season in until last year, and I just didn’t quite have my stuff together last year. I did a lot more training and riding this past off season, and we put it together this year.

ATVriders.com: How big of a deal was it being a part of the Root River Racing team this year?
Megan Manshack: Oh it’s for sure a huge deal. It makes a huge difference. I never have to worry about bike issues or getting a DNF. A whole support system and all the boys helped me out. Every time I’m not jumping something, they are pushing me to do a little bit better. The Root River Racing team made my championship possible and I couldn’t have done it without them.
