Megan Manshack Interview
::Continued::
ATVriders.com: What was the difference for you this year over last year in battling for the championship?
Megan Manshack: Last year, Katie was a lot more consistent than me. She came out of the gate a lot better than I did, and she just had her stuff together more than I did, but this season, I came out a lot stronger after doing more training and working on my holeshots and we had some really good battles. It was just my goal to get out front and set a pace and not get tired. Luckily, I had the championship wrapped up early enough that I could relax the rest of the season.

ATVriders.com: Coming from a racing family with your Dad running RAGE ATV and your mom being in the business as well, does that add some extra pressure or help?
Megan Manshack: I think it’s definitely a little bit of both. Dad, he get’s really stressed out over it and he knows what can happen when things go wrong, and he also knew my potential over the years. But it’s also really nice to have that support system behind you, and I know a lot of people don’t have that support from their parents or have been as fortunate as I have been. I’m really blessed and I’m glad for all of their support.

Megan Manshack: Absolutely! Last year at the Pro Challenge, I had a really good race and took the win in the Women’s class and shared the podium behind two of the Root River boys in 450B, and it was a great race and I’m looking forward to it this year.
ATVriders.com: How’s is it racing in the B class with the boys? Does that help you with the Women’s class?
Megan Manshack: Absolutely! Normally B is right before Women’s and it helps me look for lines and look for the rough stuff and get the jumps down and helps me feel a lot more comfortable when I go out for Women’s.
