(7/15/2009) - Among the
many up and coming racers that grace the national
ATV motocross circuit every year, there are
two that have made a big impression and made
big advances in their racing efforts this
year.
Joel Hetrick and Jeffrey Rastrelli are two
young guns in the AMA ATV Motocross Championship
Series that seem to have incredibly bright
futures in the sport. After years of competing
in the youth ATV ranks, and collecting numerous
championships along the way, they both turned
16 this year, which allowed them to jump to
the 450cc ATVs.
Joel Hetrick started the season off in the
Pro-Am Unlimited class on his new Hetrick
Racing Kawasaki KFX450R, and just made the
jump to the Pro-Am Production class at Unadilla.
Jeffrey Rastrelli had to wait till Round six
to make the jump the ATP Powered Suzuki LTR450
in the Production A & Pro-Am Unlimited
due to his Mid-season 16th Birthday.

Not surprisingly, this pair of teenagers
immediately proved themselves in their new
classes, as they have both already claimed
overall wins, and have been added to the list
of top contenders.
The talent these two riders possess is proof
positive of how the sport is progressing and how
the level of competition increasing every season,
which is exactly what the sport of ATV motocross
racing needs.
