Brimstone Recreation White Knuckle Event

2014 Brimstone White Knuckle Event
::Continued::

Throughout the day, several kids’ events were held, and also the highly anticipated Ladies’ Dash For Cash by Monster Performance; a heated footrace through the Mud Bog not only for cash but bragging rights as well.

Ladies' Dash For Cash

The Ladies' Dash for Cash was one of the most anticipated events as always

After all of the festivities on Saturday, it was time for the concert to get started again, and things heated up pretty quickly, despite the free Red Bull being handed out throughout the day. Opener Sam Hunt put on an incredible show, singing both original material as well as performing some well received covers. After an hour of singing along, it was time for Yamaha to come on stage and pick the lucky winner of a brand new 2014 Viking! Finalists in the drawings were called up on stage to draw again, and Callista Stockhoff of Ohio walked away with the brand new Yamaha Viking.

Chase Rice

Known for his hit song "Ready Set Roll" Chase Rice brought the crowd to their feet

Chase Rice headlined the night, and put on an amazing show. A sea of people was pushed up to the front as far as they could go, singing every word with him. Campfire smoke and beach balls filled the air as the sun set on this seemingly magical evening, with the concert going well into the night.

Chase Rice put on a great show for the 2014 White Knuckle participants

Sunday came, and it was time to pack up and head home. The last event of the weekend was a four-hour race called the Moonshine Run, and was a great closer to an unforgettable weekend. One thing that really stood out during the entire event was the feeling of camaraderie and friendliness from not just the staff and vendors, but from those attending as well.

“We travel 9 hours to be here from southern Alabama. The riding, food, and concerts are great, but there’s also that feeling that everybody is welcome, because they truly are, and that’s important to us” says Sherry from Mobile, AL.

This seemed synonymous in my experience at the White Knuckle Event at Brimstone, which is held annually over Memorial Day weekend to kick off summer.

At the end of summer, the Brimstone ATV & SxS Round-Up will be held over Labor Day weekend, which is another great event that also features the King of the Mountain race with thousands of dollars in prize money up for grabs along with some great trails, great food, and a great community of people.
