2014 Brimstone White
Knuckle Event
::Continued::
With nearly 20,000 acres of land and 300 miles
of trails, Brimstone has mud, boulders, mountains,
and almost everything in between. With this much
terrain, it’s a real treat to see all of
the different and unique builds that showed up
for the weekend to participate, from stock Honda
Rancher ATVs all the way to heavily modified Polaris
RZR SxS vehicles and custom vehicles that looked
like the marriage of a Meyer’s Manx with
a drag quad. While primarily ATVs and Side-by-Sides,
the event welcomes bikes as well, and is a testament
to the diversity and quality of the event.

Both
STI and BlueFire nice looking custom Polaris
RZR builds on display
|
Friday night saw the first concert of year, with
openers Borrowed Blue putting on a great show
and getting the crowd revved up for headliner
Cole Swindell.
|
Borrowed
Blue took to the stage Friday to entertain
the crowd before the headliner Cole Swindell
performed in the Yamaha sponsored concerts
|
The Yamaha stage had great sound and lights and
overlooked the vendor area of hay bales for seating
for the concert, and a great view for those who
wanted to park and watch the performance from
their ATVs and / or Side-by-Sides.
In between acts, Yamaha held a drawing for a
free GoPro, thanked the crowd for their support,
and announced that they would be servicing vehicles
all weekend to keep everyone up and running.

Yamaha was
also offering demo rides on their Yamaha
Grizzly & all-new Yamaha Viking 700
SxS at the White Knuckle Event
|
Saturday was jam packed with action, and is the
true core of the event. I met up with Yamaha early
on to test out the 2014 Yamaha Viking, and had
a great ride with them on their private demo trail.
|
After reviewing
the all-new 2014
Yamaha Viking in Wyoming, it was nice
to drive the Viking in the mountains of
Tennessee
|
We started out with a technical and winding climb
up the mountain, bordered by large trees and boulders,
through deep and muddy ruts, and over some large
rocks in the trail, highlighting the Yamaha Viking’s
steel skid plates and true muscle.
Yamaha was also offering demo rides all weekend,
and did not disappoint, as was apparent from the
massive crowd that was a fixture at their tent
for the entire event.
