Huntsville, Tennessee (6/13/2014) –
Every Memorial Day weekend, thousands of people
flock to the small mountain town of Huntsville,
Tennessee to attend Brimstone Recreation’s
White Knuckle Event. A weekend of live music,
competition, food, and some of the region’s
premier off-roading opportunities has made this
event a staple in the lives of many, with guests
traveling from around the country to participate
in this year’s fun.
When arriving in Huntsville, the sense of community that this event creates becomes instantly apparent: the town square was alive with tents, banners and friendly staff, welcoming those who’d completed the biannual journey to this Appalachian Mecca.

Thousands
of off-road enthusiasts came out to the
annual White Knuckle Event at Brimstone
Recreation Area in Huntsville, TN

The Grand Vista hotel boasts an entire field for truck and trailer parking and does a wonderful job of catering to the large influx of travelers over this busy weekend. For every car in the parking lot, there were three truck / trailer combos loaded with quads, Side-by-Sides, and bikes ready for the Brimstone White Knuckle event.

Kawasaki was on hand at the event offering free demo rides of their Kawasaki Teryx SxS
|
I started off on Friday, by test riding the Kawasaki Teryx on their private demo ride trail, which was narrow and completely wooded, gaining some serious elevation by heading straight up the side of a mountain before returning down at an extremely steep grade with some very technical turns thrown in for good measure.

We had the
opportunity to take the 2014 Kawasaki
Teryx out on Brimstone trails
|
Even after heavy thunderstorms the night before, the Kawasaki Teryx didn’t seem to notice the thick layer of mud or wet leaves as it easily climbed the hills, and Kawasaki had a steady flow of attendees taking the Teryx for a test drive throughout the weekend, and it quickly became apparent that I wasn’t the only one that left the Kawasaki tent extremely impressed with the Teryx.
After my Kawasaki Teryx test drive, I spent some
time checking out the many other vendors in attendance.
Yamaha, GBC Motorsports, ITP, Polaris, WARN, MTA,
and BlueFire, to name a few were all present with
new products, swag, and even some offering vehicle
services.
