::Continued::
A short walk to our stands from the Commander and we were in our spots to see what opportunities would arise during the day.

The Can-Am Commander XT 1000 made it easy to get back to our tree stands |
We saw some big bucks during the trip despite the frigid temperatures. The crew at CEWO has even named a few including Bonehead and Coat Rack. Unfortunately, the bucks that crossed our path were just a year too young and couldn’t be harvested this year.

We saw "Big Tex" but he won't be able to harvest until next season |
We are hoping they will mature into bigger members of the herd for next season.
Working hard to manage the property for four year old and older deer, the minimum is set at 140” to allow the deer to mature. Their efforts have proven to pay off with the countless number of large whitetails harvested. The largest deer taken on the property came in at a 178” in the first year of business. Eric himself killed a 202 non-typical back in 2000, selling the video rights to Mossy Oak, which helped kick start his hunting career.

This year has been a very good year for CEWO. They had a 30% success rate with an average score of 142”. Wildgame Nation came to the property recently to film a hunt, and Matt Busbice scored a 172” 14 point bruiser, and this hunt will air at some point this year on Outdoor Channel.
