Death Valley National Park Off-Road Jeep Adventure Drive
::Continued::

Although the Eureka Sand Dunes can be reached by paved road, the dirt road to the backside of the dunes can get pretty rugged even for 4WD, but offers the best view of the dunes.

After 30 minutes of tiring climbing up the sand dunes, we reached the top of Eureka Sand Dunes just as the sun went down over the mountains

One of the things we wanted to on our adventure was to hike to the top of Eureka Sand Dunes, which we accomplished in an impressive 30 min just as the sunset. The top of the dunes offers breath-taking views of the surrounding mountain range and valley below.

Our last night in Death Valley, we pulled out our portable Camp Chef Stove to cook fajitas. In less than 15 minutes we set up, cooked, and cleaned up our Camp Chef grill! Instead of camping at high elevation that night, we decided to made our way back down towards the lower area with temperatures increasing 3.5 degrees every 1000 ft. we descended. By doing this, we would gain about 10 degrees, which made temperatures above the freezing point.

After the sunset we set up our handy Camp Chef grill for our final meal of our three day Jeep camping adventure in Death Valley National Park

As morning came, we made our way back to Furnace Creek, where we would top off our gas in the Jeep and cool one last meal before returning the Jeep to Farbee’s Jeep Rentals.

If you are an adventure or offroad enthusiast, we highly recommend adding a Jeep Adventure Drive in Death Valley to your Bucket List!

We would put around 300 miles on the Jeep, which is quite a bit of distance to travel in Death Valley. Our Adventure drive proved to be a success as we crossed off one of many destinations off our bucket list. Be sure to check back soon for part 2 when we drive in the highest elevation in the United States.
