Ernie at FTR Powersports done as AWESOME job not only surprising me with new numbers, but also designing them without a Fullbore plastic template! Fit and finish were dead on!

We are finally finished prepping my Honda, so we took it outside of Las Vegas to do some test runs on it since it was a good variety of dirt and sandy terrain. We did a drastic change on my shocks and they have never felt better. All my Fly gear fit perfectly and did its job keeping me cool that day testing. Tires and gear change would take some trial and error until we could get a feel for the super fine sand that Sand Hollow offers. Everything felt great, so now all we had left to do was shine her up and head out the following week to Utah.

Sand Hollow is a very popular destination, a very scenic park near St. George, Utah. It offers a warm water reservoir, colorful sandy beaches and miles of endless red rock formations.

Sand Hollow State Park

Sand Hollow State Park is arguably one of the most scenic locations on the WORCS Racing Series

We arrived at Sand Hollow on Friday to do our usual unclassified race. Since there is no Motocross this round there was no practice day, just unclassified. I think I was more of a bag of nerves for the unclassified race than I was the actual race, due to ALL the Pro, A,B ,C and some youth class riders were all out there at the same time . I sat and literally watched the time on my cell phone every 5-10 minutes. I even showed up and hour early thinking this was my Moto!

Eventually, it was time to line up and I was so stoked to do this! Of course, this was just an unclassified... But not to me, this is my first time out there so it’s real-time in my mind. All of a sudden my nerves were gone and I was ready to prove to myself I CAN do this long course.

Now I knew this sand was soft, but WOW… getting a good start off the line was a struggle for anyone without Goldspeed Sand tires! My gearing change took me a bit to get used to with the taller gearing. Once I got on a good pace I felt great and the quad felt excellent ! My Goldspeed tires were EXACTLY what I needed! They ACED this sand and worked perfect in the rock section I was beginning to endure. I knew I would need to play a bit more with the PSI for my Women’s race on Sunday, but for now they were fine.
