Chukka
ATV Tour Ride Review Ocho Rios, Jamaica
::Continued::
We continued along the jungle canopy and crossed river beds and hills, and we climbed up the hillside to nearly 2,000 feet in elevation before turning around.

The trails were great for beginners and were easy to take in the scenery |
The trail varied from rough bumps and mud to smooth sections where it was easy to cruise along, but there was plenty of mud in this tropical environment, but if you rode slow, you could avoid getting covered, while some enjoyed splashing through the puddles.

There
was a wide variety of terrain along our
ride with some rocks & mud, and it was
up to you if you wanted to splash through
the mud or go slow |
Our ride neared the end when we reached the Chukka Cove and normally riders are invited to take a quick dip in the deep blue water along the shore. We were unable to try out the private cove due to extreme weather conditions that were making the water too rough to swim safely.

Chukka Cove offers riders a place to swim when the weather conditions are right |
The Chukka ATV Safari was a great addition to our Jamaican get away. The tour is awesome for anyone of any experience, and while the minimum age for the ATV tour is 16, children age 6 and older can ride with an adult over age 18 on the Dune Buggy tours, which makes for a great experience for the entire family.
“This was a totally new experience for me. I have never ridden an ATV before and had a blast,” boasted fellow rider, Jordan, who made the trip across the pond from England.
Another rider in the group, Earl, commented, “The trails offered quite a variety of terrain. This was a once in a lifetime experience for me, and I really enjoyed it.” We agree and do suggest that anyone who ventures to Jamaica try’s out the Chukka ATV or Dune Buggy Safari.

The
Chukka ATV Safari is well suited for people
who have never ridden before and want to
experience something new and adventurous
while visiting Ocho Rios, Jamaica |
We do recommend that anyone going on the aadventure brings a change of clothes because you will get a bit muddy navigating the trails. It’s also a good idea to wear a swim suit under your jeans to make swimming the cove even more enjoyable. Thinking ahead and packing a picnic lunch is also great because the scenery around the safari makes a great backdrop for lunch.
All in all, our aadventure with the Chukka ATV Safari made our stay The Beaches Resort of Ocho Rios even grander. We enjoyed the endless amenities of the resort while still getting to see the real Jamaican jungle and scenery with the ATV safari.
