Ocho Rios, Jamaica (12/30/2013) - Ever want to take your ATV aadventures international? Well we had the opportunity to do just that in a recent expedition to Jamaica to explore some of the trails on this tropical island with Chukka ATV Safari’s Polaris Trail Blazer 330.
Jamaica is located south of the United States in the Caribbean Sea. The location allows for a tropical climate that makes vacationing pleasant year round. The island also offers a variety of terrain and allows for several elevation changes; it ranges from sea level to the Blue Mountain Peak which is a dramatic 7,402 feet above sea level.

Our stay at The Beaches Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica was nothing short of amazing. The resort is all inclusive and featured breath taking scenery and back drop. Awesome amenities include a water park, pools, snorkeling and glass bottom boat rides. All of these features can be accessed without leaving the resort.

The resort is also located near a Jamaican national treasure, the Dunn’s River Falls. The Dunn’s River Falls was said to be the location of a legendary battle between the English and the Spanish Expeditionary Force. The battled, named “Las Chorreras” was fought in 1657 and the English claimed victory. The Dunn’s River Falls are now known for their beauty and the aadventure that one can get by actually climbing up the falls, which is a great experience.
While the relaxed atmosphere at the beach is great, we were looking to explore the hills of Jamaica, so the staff at The Beaches Resort hooked us up with the Chukka ATV Safari, which was a short 45 minute drive from the Beaches Resort
Chukka ATV Safari offers both ATV and SxS aadventure tours, which start at $95 per person for a two hour off-road aadventure, which explores the Cascade Rainforest before finishing up along the banks of the Caribbean Sea.
