In the Production A class, Cody Gifford came
off the start just inside the top five and charged
his way to the front by lap thee. Gifford increased
his lead with each lap and took the win by over
three seconds. Cody Gifford was on fire again
in the 450 A class as he charged off the start
and took over the lead in the second lap. Gifford

well.

A class and led for two laps but could not hold
off Gifford’s attack and finished in second, while

finish.
Root River Racing’s Haedyn Mickelson had a strong
finish in the 450 A class. Mickelson had a good
start an immediately went to work, picking off
the competition one by one. Mickelson charged
his way into second on the white flag lap and
chased down the leader. Mickelson closed in but
ran out of time before he could make a move and
finished in second. “I had a good race. I caught
up to the leader and tried to get by but it didn’t
happen. I’m still happy with my performance. I
have been training hard over the winter and I
have the stamina to push hard all the way to the
end, so I think that is going to be an advantage
for me this year,” said Mickelson.
In the College class, Calen McGinty came off
the start in second and took the lead in lap two,
where he recorded the fastest lap time of the
race, with a time of 01:38.092. McGinty’s impressive
speed allowed him to take the first win of the
season.

came from a fourth place start and quickly worked
his way up to second where he also finished. Jacob
Ranzani came from a mid-pack start and battled
his way to a third place finish.

were combined for the overall results.
