ATV Motocross Championship Amateur Race Report
::Continued::

The women’s class was dominated by Root River Racing’s Megan Manshack. Winning both moto’s, Manshack secured first place overall. This is Manshack’s sixth straight win of the season, which puts her close to wrapping up the championship. She currently leads the class points with 180, a 43 point gap to second place. “I’m one moto away from wrapping up the championship, so I’m pretty excited,” said Manshack. Spring Creek Mx is also Root River Racing’s home track, so some added support topped off the weekend. “We had a really big cheering section this weekend, and it just made it that much sweeter,” said Manshack.

In the Youth All Star class, Payton Zimmerman took the overall win with 2-1 moto finishes. “Everyone is always up in the front battling, so if you win, you’re really pumped about it,” said Zimmerman. Troy Hill edged out Zimmerman for the moto win on the first moto, but when Sunday rolled around Hill had troubles while leading the race and ended up eleventh to place him in seventh overall. “Troy and I were side by side in the holeshot, but he made it to the first turn a little bit faster. Going through the whoops he broke, and I ended up winning,” said Zimmerman about the second moto. Zimmerman is the points leader with 184 points.
