Millville,
MN (7/7/2015) –
Round seven of the 2015 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross
National Championship Series returned to Spring
Creek MX in Millville, MN on June 27th and 28th.
Spring Creek MX has always provided exciting
racing in the past, and this weekend was no different.
This legendary track is known for its rough, sandy
conditions, so the racers were in for a challenge.
Beautiful weather and track conditions blessed
the area for amateur practice on Friday, and first
moto’s on Saturday. However, heavy rains came
into the area on Saturday night, leaving a wet
motocross track for the final moto’s on Sunday.

In the Pro-Am class, Nico Cavi took his very
first overall win of the season with 1-2 moto

the way. He then backed up moto one with a solid
second place finish in moto two, which secured
him the overall win for the day.

Argentina rider Vital Cazenave put together two
solid moto’s, and with 3-4 finishes, he captured
second place overall. “ I had a good weekend and
I love the track. I’m feeling really good and
I’m confident,” said Cazenave. During the first
moto, Cazenave ran fourth almost the entire race,
until an impressive last lap push landed him a
third place finish. In the second moto, Cazenave
swapped a few positions, battling with Dylan Tremellen,
before he finished a safe fourth place that landed
him his overall second place podium position for
the day. Cazenave is currently third place in
points, only seven points away from Nico Cavi.

Root River Racing’s Sam Rowe rounded out the
final podium position with third overall in the
Pro-Am class. Rowe had a difficult first moto
in the muddy conditions, and he would land seventh.
This seemed to only ignite a fire under Rowe,
as he came out swinging in moto two, ripped the
holeshot, and led the entire race. “ It was brutal
out there, but we turned it around for the second
moto,” said Rowe. The first place finish in moto
two would salvage Rowe third place for the day,
and he now sits sixth place in points with 95.
“I’ve had a rough year so far. Coming into this
round I was eight in points, but this should help
my case a little bit,” said Rowe.
