Mt. Morris, PA – High Point Raceway played host to round #6 of the AMA ATV Motocross Nationals this Memorial Day weekend where Honda’s Joe Byrd took home his 2nd overall win of the season, and Epic Racing’s Jeremy Lawson made his Podium debut on the Can-Am DS450 with Kawaski’s Josh Creamer making his return to the box.

This was the first time since High Point started having quad races back in the ‘90’s that the quads have raced there on Memorial Day weekend as the High Point round is usually scheduled for Father’s Day because the bikes are usually racing High Point on Memorial Day weekend. However, this year the bikes were racing at Glen Helen, due to a change in their normal outdoor schedule, which was also the scene of the Yamaha / ITP Quadcross Pro ATV racer Invitational. Despite inclement weather in the usually sunny southern California location, there was still a large crowd in attendance watching as Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson took the win. “It was a fun event and hopefully there will be even more of a quad turnout next year,” said Nelson.

Once again, the ATV Motocross Nationals was attended by a record crowd of over 700 racers including 28 Pro Racers along with a impressive spectator turn-out as well, which flocked around the fence to watch all the racing action on a beautiful Memorial Day weekend

Large crowds were also the norm at High Point as more than 700 riders signed up to race along with a impressive spectator crowd. The 28 pros that showed up to race were treated to sunny skies and warm temperatures in the mid 80’s, which was a nice change from the mud and rain that has been a factor at several races this season.
