ATV Daytona Supercross Amateur Race Report

Rounding out the Women’s podium was Kaitlin
Gibson who finished in third place. Aboard her
number 16 Suzuki Gibson held third place each
lap and kept her lap times within about a second
of the leaders.

Root River Racing’s JoHannah Vossman finished
fourth in Women’s aboard her 250. “I
pulled some pretty good starts being that I’m
a 250 on the gate full of all 450s. It’s
surprising being on such a powerful 250 and seeing
what it can do. My Root River Racing bike was
running perfect again this year, just like last
year,” stated Vossman.

Dalton Hicks had an impressive race in Production
A. Hicks had the fastest lap time of the class
and led every lap start to finish.

In second place in Production A was Alan Myers.
Myers started back in ninth place and really put
in a hard charge. Myers moved his way up to sixth
by the second lap and continued to steadily pick
of racers all the way to the last lap when he
passed Corey Powers for second. Powers ended in
third.
Dominating the Production B class was Cody Ford
out of Texas. Ford led every lap and laid down
the fastest lap time of the class with a 1:01.088.
Ford’s offseason training has paid off and
he is clearly going to be a to contender for the
championship this season. Ford clinched the win
by over a six second gap to second.
