Daytona,
FL (4/8/2016) - The second annual Daytona Supercross returned to Daytona, FL at the Daytona International Speedway on March 8th.
The Daytona International Speedway provides a great facility for racers to compete at one of the most prestigious race tracks in the country. This event is considered round one of the AMA ATV Motocross Championship for the Pro riders where they begin to accumulate championship points, but for the amateur racers this is just a fun way to kick off the season without any points pressure. Racers compete in heat races and main events, with the main event counting for everything in true supercross fashion.
Cole Sepesi claimed the ProAm win. Sepesi ran in second place behind Tyler Turner for the first five laps before he passed for the lead on lap six, when Turner ran into issues and dropped out of the race. Sepesi then led the remaining three laps of the race to capture his supercross win.
