For the second day, Sims was looking for a win and took the early lead. Sims held his lead all the way to the finish and took the day two win, but his overall time was not enough to edge out Brandon Schueler for the overall.

“It was so rough out there; a huge change from the first day. Everything really came together for us today and we were able to come away with a win. This is my first win ever in the series, it’s not the overall, but I am still pretty stoked to take the day’s win,” said Sims.

The number 1934 car of Scott Kiger, piloted by Mark Holz had a good race and took the third spot on the overall podium. The Kiger/Holz team had a strong finish in the number three spot for the first day and again in third for day two despite the tough conditions.

“First of all I would like to thank Polaris Industries for all of their support, Walker Evans racing, GBC and Holz Racing. The holes were just huge out there. We were right on Branden Sims, but we ended up getting caught behind a lapper and that put us in third,” said Mark Holz.
