Henderson, NV (12/8/2014) - The Q83 team of Cody Mitchell and Colt Brinkerhoff claimed the final win of the season finale of the Best in the Desert Series at the Henderson 250, but it was the Q1 team of David Scott and Danny Prather who claimed yet another BITD Pro Quad championship while the #440 of Don Higbee and Michael Swift took the Expert class win and the class championship.

Some rain had fallen the night before and created a little fog early in the morning, but once the fog cleared, conditions were perfect for the final race of the season.

There were only two teams on the starting line for the BITD Pro ATV class, but those two teams had one of the best battles of the season as they both wanted to top the podium for the final round.

The CT Racing/Elka machine of Mitchell and Brinkerhoff immediately began to battle with the Q1 team off the start. The two teams stayed close and swapped positions several times during the first lap. Eventually, pilot Colt Brinkerhoff was able to pull away and keep the lead. The # Q83 took that lead all the way to the checkered flag for the final win of the season.

“Those last laps I was ripping. I was up on two wheels in the corners a lot of the time. It was such a fun race. Danny Prather and I were swapping the lead back and forth for the first lap and it was a really good race. CT Racing’s Allen Knowles built us a great engine and it gave us lots of power out there today. Taking the win was a great way to end the season,” said Colt Brinkerhoff.
