Harold Goodman grabbed the Holeshot two
times in the Pro ATV Main after a restart
forced to riders to return to the starting
grid for another try after a racer got
an early jump on the field
|
A restart was in order for the Pro main when
someone jumped the start, but once riders were
lined back up, it was non-stop action. Harold
Goodman, who won his heat race earlier in the
day, took the Pro Main Holeshot with Michael Coburn
literally only inches behind him.

Brian Ace spun out early in the 1st lap,
which resulted in a pile-up of racers
including Darin Ogden, Aron Reisig &,
Eric Jennings

Brad Riley got off to a great start in
the 3rd spot, but he ended up going off
the track, which sent him to the back
of the pack

While Harold Goodman & Michael Coburn
battled for the lead a rainbow formed above
the trees as a storm moved by just to the
south of track |
Coburn remained right on Goodman’s grab bar
for the entire race and the pair were almost side
by side in some of the wider corners as Coburn was
looking to make his move, but Goodman would shut
him out every time.
Despite Coburn’s best efforts, Goodman
was able to hold onto his lead all the way to
the checkered flag. “Michael was right on
me the entire time. It was tough holding him off
because I had kind of missed a bit on my set up
and he was definitely faster than I was in that
moto,” said Goodman.
“It was pretty intense out there. I showed
Harold a wheel a couple of times, but the track
is kind of narrow and I really wanted to keep
it lean and not take anyone out, so I wasn’t
able to get around him, so I settled for second,”
said Coburn, who is sitting in second in the Pro
points race and hoping for a win at the next round
to tighten things up a bit between him and Goodman.

The
battle between Harold Goodman & Michael
Coburn for the lead was one of the most
intense of the season with Coburn riding
right on top of Goodman for the majority
of the race looking for a chance to make
the pass with the duo connecting a few
times during the race, which kept the
large crowd of spectators glued to the
fence
