Suzuki's
Chris Borich takes the checkered flag
to seal the deal on the 2009 GNCC Pro
ATV XC1 Championship |
Out of sight now, and the war raging, pit radios
came to life as everyone was doing their best
to give updates from the furthest reaches of the
course. The lead would change many times through
out the first few laps however Borich would claim
the lead and now was racing for the win. As he
rounded the last turn, emotion took over as his
father entered the track to congratulate his son
on a Championship that has been years in the making!
The father and son exchanged a high five as Chris
skirted the final turn in the race to take the
race win and finally bring home his first XC1
Pro ATV Championship.
FRE / KTM’s Adam McGill was not far off
the pace as he ripped in to secure 2nd place
and it would be none other then Bill Ballance
claiming the final podium position by taking
3rd. The championship podium was now set as
for the first time in almost a decade someone
besides Bill Ballance would take home the number
one plate!

The action in XC2 would be no less stellar as
once again we were granted an excellent battle
between some of the hottest talent racing today.
This round would also see another race take a
step in their career as Walker Fowler would be
stepping up to XC2 as he had secured the College
A class championship last round. The top seeds
in the class would indeed battle but it would
be Josh Kirkland out front at the end as he secured
another win ahead of Brian Wolf.

KTM's Josh Kirkland claims his 4th Win
of the season, which keeps him in the
points chase for the XC2 Championship,
but Yamaha's Brian Wolf nearly has it
wrapped up |
MotoXperts
Parker Jones not only claimed the Rekluse
Holeshot Award, but he also claimed the
final spot on the Podium with for his
3rd appearance this year as he battles
with Eric Hoyland for 3rd in points |
Parker Jones would claw his way to the podium
for the 3rd position. Fowler would have a great
showing and ran up front until a mechanical
issue left him sidelined. The next round should
have this class on fire as the battle for the
win will be hotly contested.
