With the championship locked up, the race for
second place is being hotly contested by Zac
Zakowski and Polaris backed Daryl Rath. Both
riders have been charging hard and only one
point separates the two racers. This is appearing
to be another battle that will last the entire
season as they each claw for every point at
every round!

Zac
Zakowski has come on strong in 2010, but
he is now battling for the 2nd spot with
Daryl Rath |
Polaris
/ Rath Racing's Daryl Rath has finished
every race in 4th place or better, which
has him running for 2nd place |
4x4 Lites is being dominated by Kevin Trantham
aboard his Can Am as he has belted out seven
class wins thus far. There doesn't appear to
be any competition building in this class as
it has been a one sided wave of success for
Trantham followed by a mixed following behind
him.

Kevin Trantham has racked up 7 wins in
the 4x4 Lites Class & he has already
secured the Class Championship |
Michael
Swift was able to secure a perfect season,
but he only needs one more win to secure
the Championship over Scott Kilby |
4x4 Limited once again is being dominated by
Michael Swift who has accumulated six class
wins and is still the dominate force however
one can not count out Scott Kilby who has the
ability to claim wins and while he currently
sits in 4th place, could numerically challenge
Swift for the championship in the remaining
rounds.

Clifton
Beasley remains the only racer in the
morning that has won every single race
as he has already wrapped up the U2
Class Championship & he secured
his 1st Overall Win at Snowshoe
|
The U2 class should have been another highly contested
class this season. Clifton Beasley has racked
up nine straight class wins and has locked the
class championship easily. Several racers in this
class have yet to mount a charge capable of taking
the number one spot away from Beasley as issues
have kept the competition far away. Jerime Dudding
was injured early this season and looked to be
the biggest threat to Beasley. It will be interesting
to see how next years plays out as several of
these classes have been nowhere near filled. A
possible move could pit some of the best talent
on a 4x4 quad on the line together.

Forrest
Whorton was off to a flawless start
but now faces a challenge from Mike
Penland for the championship
|
Forrest Whorton came out swinging and secured
six straight wins in the newly formed Utility
Senior 45+ class. Whorton appeared to be well
on his way to an unchallenged season when mechanical
issues struck, opening the door for Mike Penland
who quickly stepped in and took the number one
position at several rounds. The pair of veteran
racers are now deadlocked in points and the
second half of the season should be intense
as Penland tries to grab enough wins to offset
Whorton's early season charge.
