In the Pro-am class, Yamaha / Ballance Racing’s
Walker Fowler continued to dominate as he took
the early lead in the first lap and checked
out on the rest of his class. “I came
off the start and was in about fifth going into
the woods and about a mile before the end of
the first lap, I took the lead,” stated
Fowler. Fowler put down some incredible lap
times and was able to take another class win,
which allowed him to clench the Pro-am championship.

“It’s such a relief. Last year
I was tied for the lead and I dwelled on it
all winter wondering what I could have done
differently, so I am definitely excited,”
said Fowler. Despite winning the championship
three rounds early, Fowler will be staying in
the Pro-am class to try for a perfect season
instead of moving on to the Pro class. “It
would be a first for a Pro-am or even Pro to
have a perfect season and I really want to give
that to Yamaha/Ballance Racing in return for
everything they have done for me,” Fowler
stated.
Gabe Phillips came off the start in third in
the Pro-am class and made his way past Eric
Hoyland for second in lap two. Phillips held
his position despite a charge from Hoyland and
would take second on the Pro-am podium, while
Hoyland would hang on for third.

Round number eleven of the 2011 GNCC series
will be heading to the Powerline Park GNCC in
St. Clairsville, OH on October 8th as the Pro
points chase is heating up, and with only three
rounds left in the season, it will make for
plenty of action at this high speed track with
some quad swallowing mud holes in the valley.
