Fowler on his way to make history once
again abaord his Yamaha YFZ450X Sport
ATV |
Fowler led for all five laps and not only took
the Pro-am win, but achieved his goal of being
the first Pro-am or Pro racer to take a perfect
season. “I’m really excited to be
able to be the first to give Yamaha and Ballance
Racing a perfect season. We have all been working
really hard this season and I can’t thank
everyone enough for all they have done to help
me make this happen. I am going to be moving
to the Pro class next season and I am really
looking forward to it,” said Fowler.
Kevin Yoho made his way up from eighth place
to the number six spot by the fourth lap. Yoho
was battling it out with Brian Cook, but he
was unable to hold off Cook in the final lap
and would settle for a seventh place finish.

Yamaha
/ Ballance Racing's Walker Fowler made
history at Loretta Lynn's GNCC to become
the only Pro or Pro-Am GNCC Racer to go
undeafated during a race season |
In the Pro-am class, Yamaha/Balance Racing’s
Walker Fowler accomplished a task that no other
Pro or Pro-am racer has accomplished in the
history of the GNCC, and that being a perfect
season. Even though Fowler wrapped up the Pro-am
championship several rounds early, he wanted
to continue on in the Pro-am Class instead of
making the jump to Pro in order to try for his
elusive goal. Luck was on Fowler’s side
as he took the early lead in his class and checked
out.
