Fowler put the hammer down and worked his
way back into the number four spot by the
end of the third lap. Fowler held his position
going into the final lap and held strong,
taking a fourth place finish in his first
pro race of the season. “I was feeling
good out there. I was about a minute behind
the group I wanted to be in, but overall I
had a good race and I’m looking forward
to Georgia,” stated Fowler.

Yamaha's
#14 Johnny Gallagher got off to a great
start to year with a Top 5 finish |
Johnny Gallagher was in sixth going into
lap two and after briefly falling to seventh,
moved back into sixth by the third lap. Gallagher
kept his forward momentum going and was able
to round out the top five in the pro class.

Pro ATV MX Racer Derek Swartfager finished
an impressive 7th place finish |
AMA Pro ATV motocross racer, Derek Swartfager,
was on hand for the first round, getting in
a little extra seat time before the motocross
season starts. Swartfager was looking good
in the number seven spot early in the race
and moved into sixth in the final lap and
held his position all the way to the checkered
flag.
Mark Notman held down 11th going into lap
two. Notman rode a consistent race and moved
into the number seven spot before crossing
the finish line.

Yamaha's #12 Jeff Pickens was on the
move early on running in the Top 5 till
a shock issue sent him back to a 8th
place finish |
Jeff Pickens was mid-pack going into the
second lap and worked into the number five
spot before the third lap. Pickens was looking
solid as he held down the number five spot
before his rear shock blew out in the fourth
lap, which ended charge and sent him back
to an eighth place finish.
Kevin Yoho was in tenth place going into
lap two and would make it to the number nine
spot before reaching the checkered flag, while
Craig Bowman would hang on to round out the
top ten in the pro class.

/ Honda's #341 Brian Wolf got off to
a great start, but an infected finger
ended his race early |
Honda / FRE’s Brian Wolf got a good
start and charged his way up into the second
spot in the lap two, but Wolf’s charge
would end after just three laps as he worse
forced to pull in the pits in pain. The night
before the race, Wolf made a trip to the emergency
room to treat an infected wound on his finger,
which had to be lanced. Unfortunately, his
thumb went numb as well during the race, which
forced to call it a day early, but he hopes
that his finger heals up in time for Round
two.
Yamaha/Ballance Racing’s Taylor Kiser
got off to a slower than normal start due
to a dislocated shoulder he sustained earlier
in the week during a practice session. Kiser
decided he would still ride to salvage points
and completed two laps, leaving him in twelfth
place at the end of the day.
National Guard/Yokely Racing’s Jarrod
McClure had a great start and he grabbed the
holeshot and finished out lap one in the second
spot behind McGill. Unfortunately, McClure
suffered a mechanical issue in lap two, which
left him sidelined for the rest of the race.
