Motoworks Dillon Zimmerman
Makes his Comeback at Glen Helen
Amateur ATV Race Report

Motowork's Dillon Zimmerman returns to his
winning ways by edging out Kody Evans for
the Overall Win, which is amazing since
Zimmerman spent over a week in the hospital
less than 2 months ago after wrecking at

In what could possibly be one of the best comebacks
this season, Can-Am Motoworks’ Dillon Zimmerman,
who was in critical condition after a crash at Speedworld
in June, came back to go 2-1 to take the overall
win in the 450 Production Expert class. Zimmerman
grabbed the holeshot in moto one but fell back to
second where he stayed all the way to the checkers,
but in the second moto, Zimmerman was determined
to stay out front. “I got the holeshot again
in the second moto and I was able to hold it from
start to finish,” said Zimmerman. “I
was feeling pretty good out there, but I’m
still not back to 100%. I’m doing a lot of
training and I’ve been working hard to get
back into shape.”
Kody Evans held strong to take the first moto
win over Zimmerman, but had to settle for the
number two spot overall when Zimmerman held his
ground in moto two. Garrin Fuller ran two consistent
motos to take third overall, but Fuller’s
consistency has allowed him to hold on to the
450 Production Expert points lead.
Round seven of the Yamaha ITP Quadcross series
will b another night race at Surprise, AZ’s
Speedworld MX Park on September 19th where Dustin
Nelson will be battling hard with Jeremie Warnia
to retake the Pro Production points lead.
