Another Pennsylvania native Kody Mcclung made the long haul to earn the win in the AMA MAXC Open A Class giving him an early points lead for 2014. Rounding out the Open A Class was Braden Nichols in second and Brett Cover finishing third.

In the C 15-24 yrs Class, Austin Abney grabbed the his first win of the season with a near three-minute lead over second place. Justin Kramer and Ryan Flint rounded out the C 15-24 yrs Class podium.

Twenty-two racers signed up to compete in the highly competitive 13-15 yrs 300cc 4 Stk class. Earning top honors was Cody Collier who won the class by almost four minutes. Taking second was Joey Sheteron aboard his Honda and Isaiah Silverthorn in third.

AMA MAXC racers will have almost a month to prepare for the second round of the ten round series that will take place on May 17th in Paragon, IN. Only time will tell who will land on the podium once again as the season begins to unfold for yet another exciting year of cross country racing!
