It looked as if the previous round winner Marshal Goings would possibly go home with another win at the Thunder on the Mountain MAXC, but luck was not be on his side as he ran into mechanical issues on lap three putting an end to his hard charge for another win for the season.

MAXC Racing Round 7 winner Marshal Goings experienced some mechanical issues after battling for the number one spot the first two laps

Braden Nichols earned his sixth win of the season in the Open A Class as well as winning the Top Amateur Award at the Thunder on the Mountain MAXC. Nichols was second in the Holeshot, but would quickly take over the lead on the first lap where he begin to put some time between him and the rest of the Open A Class. Nichols finished with an impressive four and a half minute lead over second place.

Tying his best Open A Class finish this season was Joshua Beach. The Spencer, IN racer currently sits second in the Open A Class points.

Rounding out the Open A Class podium was Jordan Stine. Working his way up from sixth place at the end of lap one, Stine moved into third place by lap two where he would finish out the remaining two laps to finish third.

In the B 15-24 Class, Cole Setser, claimed his second consecutive win. Setser came through scoring on lap one in third but made several passes to work his way into the number one spot by lap three where he remained until the finish.

Finishing second was Joe Oneal, who got off to a great start rounding the first corner in second. Oneal quickly took over the lead and lead the B 15-14 Class for the first two laps before dropping back to second.

Shane Keller from Bloomington, IN earned the final spot on the MAXC B 15-24 Class Podium. Keller sits fourth in the points heading in the MAXC Round 9.

Young and upcoming racer Austin Abney kept his winning streak alive by earning his ninth win this season in Clay City, KY. Abney lead all four laps to take the win.

Placing in close second was Travis Spencer. The Spider Graphix backed racer also had a great race running second each lap.

Shane Patton rounded out the C 15-24 Class podium in third. Patton was the last C 15-24 Class racer to complete four laps.
