Jasmin Plante grabbed the Open Pro Moto
2 Holeshot |
In the second moto it was Canadian Jasmin Plante
who would grab the holeshot followed closely by
Michael Pilotte and Myles Santaniello. As the
rest of the pack began to pull away, Jason Connell
and Jon Glynn would connect of the start, sending
Glynn, who just couldn’t seem to catch a
break this round, into a hay bale. Luckily, Glynn
was not injured and was back on the track in no
time.
Meanwhile, Pilotte and Plante would begin to
pull away as the pair battled for the lead.
Pilotte was able to make his move in along straight
where he over powered Plante and took over first
place. Once in the lead, Pilotte would pull
away to a comfortable distance and take the
Open Pro moto two win. Pilotte’s 2-1 finishes
earned him the top spot on the podium.

Kawasaki's
Joe Haavisto applied the pressure to Jasmin
Plante, but was unable to make the pass
with Plante finishing in 2nd followed
by Haavisto |
Haavisto, who had gotten off to a slow start
was busy working his way up and had soon caught
Myles Santaniello who was in third. The pair
battled feverishly for several laps before Haavisto
got past and began to chase down Plante for
second. Despite his efforts, Haavisto would
end his day taking a 3-3 Pro finish, giving
him second place overall, while Jasmin Plante
would end his day in the final spot on the pro
podium.
Despite Santaniello’s first moto win,
a sixth place finish in moto two would put him
in fourth place overall while Rocco Arno, Jr.’s
consistent 4-4 would have him rounding out the
top five.
