Rocco Arno Jr went (4-3) to claim the
final spot on the Open Pro-Am Podium |
Nate
Morello finished in the Top 5 in both
the Open Pro & Pro-Am Class |
Joe Haavisto had a bit of a tough time in the
first Pro-am moto. Haavisto was third off the
line behind Aaron Meyer, and quickly made his
way around the Polaris, but a mistake in one
of the corners allowed Mike Pilotte, who was
charging through the pack to slip past giving
Haavisto a third place finish in moto one. Moto
two also did not go as planned for Haavisto
when a slight mechanical issue sent him to the
back of the pack. Haavisto was able to continue,
however, and climbed back to the number five
spot. Haavisto’s 3-5 finishes had his
rounding out the top five overall for the Pro-am
class.
Susan Parker continued her domination of the
Women’s Open class, taking both moto wins
for the top spot on the podium. Amy Thompson
battled it out with Angie Maher in both motos,
but Thompson’s 3-2 finishes allowed her
to finish in second, while Maher had to settle
for third.
