St. Joe, TX (4/8/2014) - Rednecks with Paychecks (RWP) kicked off its first event of 2014 with their Redneck with Paychecks Spring Break held March 13th thru the 16th at the RWP off-road park located in north central Texas just south of St. Jo, TX. Over 2,000 campsites were pre sold, and with temperatures expecting to be in the upper 70s for the weekend, it was sure to be a spectacular event! RWP events offer something for every off-road enthusiast, and to prove it over 12,000 people from several different states showed up for the event.

The park is over 1,200 acres with a good mix of mud pits, mud bogs, trails, rocks, creeks, hills, woods, and just about any other obstacle anyone could ask for. Each event offers attractions for ATVs, UTVs, trucks, jeeps, and many mud buggies of every shape and size! They have Mud Drags, Redneck Skiing, Rock Racing, Power Wheels Downhill racing, Bounty Hole competition, UTV/ SxS Challenge Racing, and many other events. Did we mention the prize money up for grabs? They have a $10,000 purse for the Mud Drag Races, $500 purse for the Power Wheels Downhill race, $3,500 purse for the Bounty Hole Competition, and a $5,000 purse for the SxS Challenge Race.

The SxS Challenge was a new event brought to the Rednecks with Paychecks Park in late 2013 at the Halloween Bash held in October.  The track was built in the back forty section of the park which allowed plenty of room for it to be built without interfering with any of the other attractions the park has to offer. The RWP crew built an excellent track that gave drivers a little bit of everything. The track is a cross between three things, short course stadium truck, motocross, and it also has some elements of an endurocross style track. There are ski jump style doubles, whoops, large berms, table tops, hill climbs, rock sections, large loader tires, logs, and some other natural terrain elements. This race does not have any mud involved with it. To keep things interesting they put several split lines to keep the track from getting one line grooved in it. As with any new event there are lessons to be learned from the last, and the RWP crew stepped it up once again for the Spring Break event!

The Rednecks with Paychecks crew did a great job of designing the SxS Showdown track that featured ski jump style doubles, whoops, large berms, table tops, hill climbs, rock sections, large loader tires, logs, & other natural terrain elements

The RWP crew decided to make the event even better, and went to work on the track. The track length was doubled from that of the 2013 course. They added several more doubles, a rhythm section, some large sweeping bermed out corners, and a canyon! So not only does the track have a fast steep hill climb it now has a canyon that you drop down into. The track is now 1.5 miles long and for the most part is 12’ to 15’ wide which gives plenty of opportunity for passing while still maintaining close racing. With the back forty section of the park containing Red Neck Mountain, the track builders where able to give the spectators a great vantage point of the whole track. They were able to pull them into the action by having the racers ascend the mountain. The spectators are drawn into the action like that of a XC race since they are able to stand right next to the track and enjoy the racing. Over 2,000 spectators lined the track to see the show that the UTVs put on, and what a show it was.
