Rocky Mountain UTV Racing -
ATV Race Report
::Continued::
While many may think the RMURA offers just SxS
/ UTV racing, they also have several classes for
ATV racers with a 55 minute long race held in
the morning, so hopefully the word spreads and
more racers come out for the next round of racing
in July.
Brian Barsh dominated the newly formed ATV A
class. After taking the holeshot, he dominated
the event, holding off Megan Demers for the victory.

Barsh was pleased with his victory and is looking
for the ATV class to grow considerably: “The track
was nice, and the weather was nice; I just kept
it floored as much as I could,” said Barsh. “I
saw this on Facebook. They’re catering to the
quads more and more. This thing is going to be
huge.”
Demers said the race was a learning experience
for her: “I was keeping up with him on the first
couple of laps, and I thought he was messing with
me,” said Demers with a laugh. “Later on, I was
losing ground in some of the corners. Now I know
where I have some more work to do.”

Devries had a difficult start and was pleased
with the podium finish and win in the ATV B class.
“I stalled it and messed up the start,” said Devries.
“Man, this was fun. I felt really good. It was
a fun track. I’m getting better and better.”

The Rocky Mountain UTV Racing Association will
be back in action with both UTV and ATV racing
on July 11th in Grand Junction, CO, and the series
is looking to attract some competitions from Utah,
Nevada, and California ATV and SxS racers.
