WORCS Racing - Round 6 - Washougal MX - Pro ATV Race Report
::Continued::

Josh Frederick - CanAm DS450 ATV WORCS Racing
DWT's #1 Josh Frederick celebrates his 2nd Win of the season, which moves him within 5 points of Jeremie Warnia for the points lead
Once out front, Frederick began to pull away and took the win by over a minute ahead of the competition. Frederick’s win also allowed him to close in on the points lead and he is now only five points down.

“I had a pretty good race. I got the holeshot and fell back for a short time, but then I took back the lead and rode my own race all the way to the finish line. It was a pretty uneventful race for me. Everything just kind of came together and I was able to take the win and I am very happy about that,” stated Frederick.

MCR/Maxxis Tire’s Beau Baron charged off the line in a close second behind Frederick and was able to make a pass early in the first lap for the lead. Baron led for five laps and when he stopped in the pits for fuel, it allowed Josh Frederick and Jeremie Warnia to get by. Baron was able to remount a charge and get past Warnia, but catching Frederick would prove to be a little more challenging.

“I was making up time and then I got behind a lapper and when I was trying to get around him, my quad stalled and it wouldn’t re-fire. It took about eight tries before I could get it started again. By then Frederick had a pretty good lead and I didn’t have enough time to catch back up to him,” stated Baron, who was obviously disappointed. Baron kept a steady pace and rode his own race for the remaining laps taking second at the checkered flag.

Jeremie Warnia was looking good off the start and he charged off the line in third. Warnia was able to make his way into the number two spot early in the first lap after passing teammate Josh Frederick in the motocross section. Warnia laid down the fastest lap time of the race in lap three with a time of 08:11.711.

Can-Am's #62 Jeremie Warnia held the lead briefly in lap 6 before dropping back to third, which is where he stayed to the checkered flag to maintain the pro points lead

Despite his incredible speed, Warnia stayed in third until the mid-way point. Warnia was able to take over second briefly when Beau Baron stopped in the pits, but fell back again and settled into third where he stayed until reaching the finish line.
