2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 300 Utility ATV

2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i Utility ATV Long Term Review
We test the Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i Utility ATV on the Farm & on the Trail

The stock suspension feels really good and plush, another reason I could be forming an opinion on the braking and off camber control as it relates to how the ATV handles.

The stock Duro tires work well around the farm, but they do not offer great traction on steep inclines. One thing we would like to see upgraded in the future would be using a tire was a stiffer sidewall to reduce body roll & improve traction in slick conditions
The Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i Camo 4x4 Utility ATV features a plush ride thanks to its double wishbone front suspension with 6.7 inches of travel & fully independent rear suspension that features 7.5 inches of travel & 9.4 inches of ground clearance

You will find the limits if you push it hard enough, but for most, the ride quality is more then ample. Ground clearance is good and the stock skid protection is adequate, however if you like riding big rocks, you may find additional protection necessary.

The EPS (Electronic Power Steering) on the Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i Utility ATV made steering effortless making the ride that much more enjoyable

I bought one of the original Kawasaki Brute Force models when they first appeared and it was a total blast and steering was done more with the throttle then the handlebars! With EPS (Electric Power Steering) gone are the days of needing the power to spin the quad around, it performs perfectly and takes zero effort to steer, even when a few bags of feed are thrown on the front rack.

The 2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4i ATV has many storage compartments located on both sides of the front fenders & in the center of the front rack which comes in handy

Speaking of the racks, one thing I have learned from attending press intro's is how much thought goes into racks. The Brute Force offers up a flat rack with no raised areas and is constructed of tubular steel and feature a powder coated finish. I have hauled everything from bags off feed to bales of hay and haven't had any issues as they offer plenty of room and areas to attach tie downs and straps.

The racks feature several tie-down hook points on the cargo rack tubes that make it easy to secure a load which worked great to haul bags of feed or bales of hay on the farm
The air box is located where the gas tank would normal be located on a sport ATV. Kawasaki designed the air filter to be easily accessible without any tools

The Camo model I was sent is pretty slick looking. Just about everything I do around here is farm or hunting related, so it fit right in. The fenders offer really good protection from mud and water, and the foot wells drain fast. Access to the air filter is easy, in fact overall maintenance is pretty straight forward and can be performed by anyone capable enough to read the service manual.

All of the main electrical components including the wiring harness can be easily accessed under the seat
The gas tank guard does a good job of protecting the gas tank, but can fill with mud making it hard to clean

Fit and finish are all good and no loose bolts or issues have popped up in the time I have spent on the Brute Force. One area I try and take note of is how loud the exhaust is and with such a powerful engine package, the Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4 is pretty quiet at slower speeds.
